Commissioner Hazara sets one-month deadline for Dasu Dam settlement
Fayyaz Ali Shah directs formation of effective teams, warns against negligence in national project during review meeting

Commissioner Hazara Division, Fayyaz Ali Shah, chaired an important meeting to review the progress of the ongoing settlement operation for the Dasu Hydropower Project (DHPP) in Upper Kohistan.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General)/Settlement Officer, Upper Kohistan, gave a detailed briefing on the progress achieved so far. The Deputy Commissioner Upper Kohistan and other concerned officials were also present.
The Commissioner directed that the settlement process must be completed within one month without delay. He instructed that effective teams be constituted, responsibilities be clearly defined, and any requirement for additional staff or patwaris be reported immediately.
He further emphasized that strict disciplinary action should be taken against officials found absent from duty. The Commissioner also directed that if any support is required from WAPDA, timely coordination must be ensured. In case of any delay or lack of cooperation, the matter should be brought to his notice immediately for prompt resolution.
Commissioner Fayyaz Ali Shah instructed all relevant departments to utilize all available resources to complete the settlement operation within the stipulated timeframe and to submit weekly progress reports to the Commissioner’s Office.
He reiterated that the Dasu Hydropower Project is a project of national importance, and therefore no negligence or delay will be tolerated in its timely execution.
